the wee man out on tour

Townhill Cyclocross October 15th October

In slippery conditions Sandy Fraser, David Crombie and Ken Thomson were joined by Mark Young on this testing circuit in the grounds of Townhill Country Park. 30 Competitors raced each other round the circuit for 55 mins then the places were decided by completing one final circuit. Sandy an experienced mountain biker showed the others the way, crossing the line first in style finishing I think third overall followed by the trio David, Mark then Ken more accustomed to road racing but nevertheless enjoying this local event.

Muirhead start for TOUR OF THE GLENS

The Tour of the Glens run starts this Sunday in Muirhead just north of Dundee. I've posted the map after I was asked on Saturday.

Cafe Closed = Tired legs

The Saturday morning run was today sent into nose dive with the closure of the usual cafe stop. Craig Hardie can take the full blame for what ended up being a rather eventful few miles to powmill (Two rather nasty climbs)



The upshot was three turning back on the main "feature climb" one person MIA and Adrian left supping a salt solution form his water bottle to try and stop cramp. All in all a pretty hard morning for a Saturday but great fun all the same.
